Methods of Operation

Hinged
Suitable for small to medium window widths. Panels are hung via adjustable hinges secured by side hanging strips of matching timber or a full frame system. Hinged models using hanging strips or full frame systems have no light gaps around the shutter panel edges and feature concealed panel stops.

Hinged Bi-fold
Suitable for small to medium window widths. A shutter panel can bi-fold off another panel, while using the same framing system as the standard hinged models, allowing no light gaps around the edges. On face installations also allow the panels to fold completely back onto the wall, which is not possible with Track Bi-fold track styles.

Track Bi-fold
Suitable for wider windows, door ways or as a room divider. Multiple panels bi-fold off each other supported by a top track. As the panels are perpendicular to the window when stacked, this system is ideal for maximising the view or to provide access through a doorway.

Sliding
Suitable for wider windows or doorways. Multiple panels and up to 3 top tracks allow for numerous configurations of the panels to cover a wide area. On face applications require fitting of a headboard to support the tracks, which is covered by a colour co-ordinated pelmet with returns. All sliding models require floor guides or tracks.

Louvre Style
Shadelight™ Shutters are now available in a louvre style blade to suit most existing styles on the market. They are made with the craftmanship and quality of Cedar timber in Hinged, Bifold and sliding shutter applications.
